Our role
Darwin Ecology transformed CGG Veritas’ recreational field space into a wildlife haven.
We installed several features and habitats to be enjoyed by staff and wildlife alike. These included wildflower meadow turf, deadwood habitat piles, trees, shrubs, and a large pond.
Schemes like this have so many benefits. They look great, they’re fantastic for wildlife and they significantly increase your potential to score well in the BREEAM assessment criteria.
This project was a welcome change from traditional landscaping schemes. It gave everyone involved a feel-good factor because they felt like they were giving something back to nature.
Phase two
Because of how successful the first phase was, we were invited back to reimagine the grounds surrounding a new car park and overflow offices.
We used native plants to create ornamental beds in wildflower meadows, and introduced trees and hedging to boost the wildlife potential.
